We are delighted that Guy Haddleton CEO of Anaplan presented at our first ClearPoint Tech Drop of 2011 last Friday. ClearPoint are privileged to have been working with Anaplan over the last 2 years as they build out their innovative platform and launch their business. Anaplan founders Guy and CTO Michael Gould originally formed and ran Adaytum which was a pioneer in the multidimensional data and analytics processing space. Adaytum was acquired by Cognos in 2003 for USD160m.
After leaving Cognos, Michael researched and developed an in-memory, multidimensional core analytics engine from the ground up. No enterprise software, no RDBMS. In 2009, Anaplan was formed and teamed with ClearPoint to help design and build a SaaS based offering to deliver fast multi-dimensional analytics over the web. Based out of San Francisco; Anaplan is now really starting to hit its stride.
The Tech Drop was a brilliant opportunity to hear about the journey from Guy himself, and to learn about Anaplan’s approach to the market, the landscape nd trends in multidimensional analytics and their innovative approach. Cool stuff. Thank you Guy and team – and looking forward to a great 2011.
