Last night we had the pleasure of hearing from Dr Lance O’Sullivan, at our regular tech quarterly update. Lance is an amazing innovator and change leader in delivering affordable healthcare to communities in need. His vision to democratise healthcare using contemporary and modern technology, has driven him and his team to deliver a virtual health programme iMOKO™.

iMOKO™ is an innovative, digitally enhanced healthcare programme developed to increase access to health services for children. At present, 6,500 children in over 40 early childhood centres, Kohanga Reo, primary, intermediate and secondary schools, receive this innovative form of healthcare using digital technologies.

ClearPoint Co-Founder and CTO Bain Hollister says the cool thing about Lance is that he’s leading from the front, helping those in need by challenging established systems and methods.

“Technological change has huge potential to impact delivery models in Healthcare – and as a clinician; Lance can see and adopt tech in a practical manner,” says Bain.

Lance inspired all of us. It’s always refreshing to hear from everyday Kiwi’s who have a clear purpose and vision to make a change which will directly benefit the people in our communities – yet it’s even better when they have the courage to act on it.

“It’s really cool to see people like Lance with the leadership, fieldwork experience and visions to change outcomes for our most precious New Zealanders.” says Bain.
